Jaclyn Speights

Enrichment Coordinator, Tap & Contemporary Faculty

Jaclyn started dancing at ADT at age five and was a company member with Alabama Dance Theatre from 1995 to 2003. She holds a B.A. in Dance from the University of Alabama and earned her M.A. in Dance from Florida State University. In 2008 she interned at the   Harkness Center for Dance Injuries in New York City.

Since then, she has taught dance for the Caledonia Public Schools in Mississippi, Arkansas Festival Ballet, Jacksonville Dance Company, North Pulaski High School, Yokota Dance Company in Japan, where she was also a director, and the SKIES dance program in Vilseck, Germany. She recently completed her certification in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies through EUROLab in Berlin in 2023 and is a Certified Laban Movement Analyst.
